Proteomics in Postgenome Era
Abstract
Proteomics studies protein properties to provide an integrated view of cellular processes. Proteome, which is the protein complement of a genome, provides a platform for proteomics. Proteomics, a burgeoning field at present, is aimed at profiling and characterizing gene expression at the protein level, their post-translational modifications and interactions. The review is devoted to the most important events in the short history of proteomics and to recent trends and developments in the field.Downloads
